Overview
 $100,000 - $110,000/year + bonus  New York -- Manhattan  Permanent
An established real estate investment and development firm is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee financial management and reporting for ongoing construction and development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process subcontractor, consultant, and vendor pay applications.
- Maintain up-to-date project books and oversee budget tracking.
- Support contract administration, including drafting and reviewing vendor agreements.
- Conduct monthly budget-to-actual cost reviews; maintain active cost reports.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for internal leadership, investors, and lending institutions.
- Partner with third-party insurance brokers to ensure compliance and active coverage for all project policies.
- Handle AP processes for active construction and development projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in project accounting.
- Background in real estate development is strongly preferred; prior public accounting experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiar with construction accounting forms (AIA G702, G703)
- Must be able to work in Manhattan office full-time.
